Thieves strike gold again, leaving FaZe behind at Major

The Los Angeles Thieves have clinched their second consecutive Call of Duty League Major title, overcoming Atlanta FaZe 4-2 in the Grand Finals of CDL Major 4 at DreamHack Dallas. Despite entering the tournament as the fourth seed, the Thieves demonstrated resilience and strategic prowess throughout the competition.

Their journey began with a decisive 3-0 victory over Vancouver Surge. However, a narrow 3-2 loss to Miami Heretics pushed them into the lower bracket. Undeterred, the Thieves eliminated Toronto Ultra and 2024 CDL Champions OpTic Texas, both with 3-1 scores. They then avenged their earlier defeat by sweeping Miami Heretics 3-0, setting the stage for a rematch against Atlanta FaZe.

In the Grand Finals, the Thieves surged ahead with wins in the first two maps. Although FaZe rallied to tie the series, the Thieves regained control, securing the final two maps and the championship. This victory not only awarded them $150,000 in prize money but also propelled them to the top of the CDL standings with 540 points, edging out FaZe's 505.

As the CDL Championship Weekend approaches in Kitchener, Canada, from June 26-29, the Thieves are poised as the team to beat, aiming to cap off their season with a championship win.
